Vegetables

Most of the foods you eat should be raw, high-nutrient, high-fiber vegetables. You can eat any vegetables in unlimited quantities, as long as they are not on the list of foods you should not eat that you find below in the article.

How to eat vegetables

Salads

Ideally, you should eat at least 50% of raw vegetables in salads. You can also eat them steamed. The key is to eat as many vegetables as you can, including between meals. Because they are full of nutrients, it is impossible to eat too much.

Shakes

In addition to salad, a quick way to eat a lot of greens is to โ€ฆ drink them. Iโ€™m not kidding. I mean green shakes of spinach, kale, or mangold. The simple recipe for a shake is:

The advantage of shakes is that you can make them quickly and drink them quickly. I know you donโ€™t have enough time in a day to do everything you have to do. Rather than eating a fast food that you eat on the go between two things to do, itโ€™s better to drink a cup of shake that you have prepared in the morning. Germs โ€“ concentrated nutrients

When a seed begins to germinate, an extraordinary amount of nutrients is released from that seed. For example, 28 grams of broccoli sprouts contain the same amount of cancer-fighting substances as 1.2 kg of boiled broccoli. If your goal is to be healthy and heal your body, germs are essential in your diet.

Consumption of small amounts of germs is equivalent to the consumption of large amounts of vegetables in terms of nutrients.

If you do not like vegetables or you can not eat a lot of vegetables, then add some germs daily to your diet. Put them in the salad as often as possible. You can grow them at home in a germinator or you can find them in natural product stores.

Fruits

The only fruits you should eat are the ones listed below. You should consume them mostly in the evening, except for apples, which you can consume at any time and in any quantity.

In this program, it is important not to eat more than 1/3 of the fruits you eat. For example, if you ate 1 kg of vegetables a day, you should not eat more than 300 grams of fruit. Apples are not included in this calculation, you can eat as many apples as you want.

Do not eat the following fruits, as they are high in sugar and low in fiber: bananas, dates, figs, raisins, canned fruits, nuts and mangoes.

Avoid fruit juices. The fiber in whole fruits slows down the increase in insulin levels, which is one of the hormones that activates fat deposition. Juices, however, do not contain fiber but have many sugars that lead to increased insulin levels and fat deposition.

Nuts and seeds

You will need to eat a large amount of nuts and seeds between meals to prevent hunger. Walnuts and seeds are full of nutrients, but they must be raw and soaked in water overnight.

  1. Soak the seeds and nuts in filtered or spring water overnight

2. In the morning, rinse the seeds and nuts several times and let them dry on an airy surface.

3. Set aside the amount you will eat that day, and put the rest in the refrigerator.

Raw almonds and walnuts are best, but you can also eat other seeds such as sesame seeds, cashews, pine seeds, sunflower seeds, hazelnuts, pistachios, chickpeas, pumpkin seeds.

You can also eat sesame paste (tahini) or small amounts of peanut butter. Make sure that peanut butter does not contain added sugar or hydrogenated oils.

What not to eat in the liver detoxification program

Avoid any food that contains monosodium glutamate or modified starch. Glutamate is a flavor enhancer that not only makes food taste better, but makes you hungrier. Thatโ€™s why you canโ€™t stop eating just a potato chips, and thatโ€™s why youโ€™re hungry an hour after eating Chinese food. Many foods in restaurants, especially Chinese restaurants, contain this chemical. It also causes a strong water retention in the body.

Food to be consumed in limited quantities

Dairy products

You can eat a small amount (80-100 gr. Per day) of fresh low-fat cottage cheese or 170-200 gr. low-fat plain yogurt. A little butter is also ok. You can also sprinkle a very small amount of Telemea / feta cheese on salads.

Animal proteins

During the detoxification of the liver you will not eat animal proteins (meat, fish, dairy, cheese), except those mentioned above โ€“ small amounts of skimmed cowโ€™s cheese or skimmed yogurt.

However, if on the second or third day you feel dizzy, tired and/or cold due to low blood sugar, if you notice hair loss or if you have a craving for protein, add a small amount of animal protein in it. every day.

Start with one egg a day (can be boiled) or a small piece of fish. Donโ€™t eat too much animal protein, just eat the right amount to satisfy your hunger. It is better to eat small amounts more often, because overeating will stress the liver and turn proteins into fat.

What dietary supplements can you use to detoxify the liver

Cruciferous vegetables are very rich in nutrients and phytonutrients, which contribute to the regeneration of the liver. If you do not eat too many cruciferous vegetables, sometimes it is worth resorting to a supplement based on them. Nutrients from cruciferous vegetables will provide the raw material for rejuvenating the liver, as well as restoring the potassium reserves of the cells. Water and herbal teas

In the liver detoxification program you will drink a mixture containing unsweetened cranberry juice, lemon and apple cider vinegar. This drink should be drunk three times a day (three 250 ml glasses), in the morning, before lunch and in the evening, before dinner.

Symptoms and solutions in the liver detoxification treatment

Bloating

If you have problems with bloating during the program, you have two options:

How often should I do the liver detox program

My suggestion is to do liver detoxification two or three times a year. If you want to keep your liver in perfect shape, you can do this program even every two months.

How to prepare for the program

I recommend that you stock up on the foods allowed for the program before you start, and think about different menus for at least a few days in advance, ideally for a week. One of the biggest obstacles when you want to follow a diet different from your usual eating style is not to have the necessary food at hand. When you are hungry, if you do not have the right foods for liver detoxification, you will be tempted to resort to inappropriate foods.

Also prepare the right food for the office, or check if the places where you usually buy or order food have good dishes on the list for the liver regeneration program. Beware of salads, it is preferable to order them without dressing, because it usually has added sugar or additives.

In order to better understand what parasites do in the human body, I will give you examples of concrete problems caused by parasites.

Parasites have no interest in killing their host, so their presence in the body is quite difficult to detect, especially in the beginning. But if they are allowed to grow and multiply freely, they can cause a number of problems.

1. Parasites steal the nutrients you need

Studies have shown that in all these areas water has special qualities compared to other areas around the world. Alkaline and negatively ionized water is one of the essential factors that help the people there to be healthy and long-lived.

Why is water so important?

Science gives us the answer: Our body is made up of 70% water.

Why is it so important?

The internal fluids that ensure the functioning of the body (blood, lymph, interstitial fluid, saliva) have a slightly alkaline pH. The functioning of the body produces waste (urine, perspiration, expiration) which is acidic.

What else can water do?

Water can greatly contribute to the process of cell feeding and can be the most powerful antioxidant that will neutralize free radicals and increase your immunity. This means that the nutrients you eat actually end up nourishing each cell. And it also means that you are very resistant to diseases and you will not age prematurely.

Not all water can do this, but only negatively ionized water.

A proper interstitial environment, which allows cells to be nourished and neutralizes free radicals, is an alkaline environment with a negative electrical charge.

The sources of negative ions are again air, water and food. Today I watched a video and as soon as I saw it I thought of something I want to share with you. Iโ€™ll let you watch him and then Iโ€™ll tell you in a few words what I think of him.

I think everyone should watch this video because 95% of the information is true and very valuable. I would like to dwell on the other 5%, and here I am referring to the phrase that people should use certain โ€œwonder productsโ€ for detoxification, which we can buy from certain pharmacies in this case. Here there is a hidden danger in the phrase โ€œmiracle productโ€.

Almost all people would like a miracle cure, a universal panacea that would magically solve all their health problems. This willingness to rush to use whatever is presented to us as a โ€œmagic cureโ€ seems to be something hidden very deep in our subconscious. Instead of following this trend, I think we have to understand first of all what we want to achieve and how the โ€œmagic productโ€ may or may not offer us that.

In the case of detoxification, we should first understand what detoxification of the body is, why it is important and the different ways in which it can be done. We should know the principles that underlie the various detoxification products of the body, how those products work, what ingredients they are based on.

If we know what detoxification of the body is, how it can be performed, what types of detoxification are more effective, we will be able to really choose the best product because we will know what it should contain and make that product.

So before you buy anything that is recommended as a โ€œwonder productโ€, study, inform yourself and you will be able to make an informed choice about what is best for you. We are solely responsible for our health, and detoxification is a key factor in this process. Give it the attention it needs, educate yourself first and foremost, and your time investment will pay off.

One of the things I do at least once a year is a liver detoxification treatment. I chose to do the first one this year at the end of March. If you need a little inspiration, read on what we did and what results we got, as you go.

You can do liver detoxification in several ways. This time I chose to do the 14-day liver detoxification program that I learned from Dr. Eric Berg and that you can find in his book 7 Principles of Weight Loss.

What I have done:

I ate predominantly vegetarian, especially raw vegetables, but also fruits. The only animal products I consumed were about 200 grams of skim yogurt or 100 grams of skimmed cowโ€™s cheese a day. I ate occasionally about 100 grams of fish, and another boiled egg.

Another ingredient I used daily, three times a day, was a combination of cranberry juice (60 ml), lemon juice (1 tbsp), apple cider vinegar (1 tsp), and water up to 250 ml. I drank this juice before every meal.

What I want to achieve by detoxifying the liver

When I do something for which I make an effort, I want to know if itโ€™s worth it. Thatโ€™s why I try to determine in advance what I want to achieve and at the end I measure the results. Normally, when you do liver detoxification, you should have better mental clarity in the end, reduce your cravings, have more energy and lose weight and inches.

Week 1

In the first two days I had a slight state of weakness. The body had to adapt to the new diet without refined carbohydrates and with a very small amount of protein. I felt the effort to adapt the body to the new menu. I felt the body change its energy source from sugars to fats.

From the third day I had greater mental clarity. On days 3 and 4, a slight weakness of the body persisted, but the general condition was good and increased mental clarity.

From the 3rd day I had a sensation like leg muscle fever, which on the 5th day was completed with a slight tremor of the heart. I suspected that the symptoms came from the daily consumption of apple cider vinegar, which brings a potassium intake, but decreases calcium reserves.

On the 4th day I also had a slight claw sensation in my heart. Both are symptoms of calcium deficiency caused by daily consumption of apple cider vinegar. I started eating a tablespoon of sesame paste every day, which is very rich in calcium, and the symptoms disappeared.

On the 6th day, being Friday, I didnโ€™t eat anything until around 7 pm, as I usually do. It was a slightly harder day, I didnโ€™t have much energy and my mind was less clear.

From the 6th day I had no weakness at all. I had few cravings but mental, that is, I thought I would eat bread or something sweet. Physically, however, I felt clearly that the body was well nourished and had everything it needed. It tempted me the most to eat bread. I didnโ€™t necessarily have a craving for meat.

After the 6th day, my physical condition was good and I had the impression that I could continue the program as long as I had the necessary food. So the key is to get used to cooking differently. I had energy and clarity, I felt I could do sports.

After a week, I had the following parameters:

From day 8 I didnโ€™t feel the need to eat so often. The well-being of the body and the reduction of appetites were maintained.

It was very clear the difference between cravings caused by deficiencies in the body, and cravings that have an emotional or mental cause (the habit of eating something).

The only problem I had was that I had a very busy schedule during the two weeks of detoxification treatment. Thatโ€™s why I went to bed a few nights late and didnโ€™t sleep well. The quality of sleep was not very good, but this usually happens to me when I go to bed after 12 oโ€™clock at night.

I interrupted the program after 12 days, because I left the country.

At the end of the 11th day, the results were:

Detoxification balance

I lost 3 kg in 11 days, and my girth was reduced by 3 cm. My main goal was not to lose weight, but it was a welcome bonus.

I obtained increased mental clarity starting with the 4th day, and a very good general condition, especially after the 6th day.

My appetite decreased a lot because my body was well supplied with nutrients. It would not have been difficult to continue the program, but I chose to end it, because I had to make a trip to another country and I did not want to refrain from eating their traditional dishes. But if my goal had been to lose weight, I could have continued the program for a while without much effort.

Speaking of cravings, I had an interesting surprise. The next day after I stopped I ate a cake and drank some hot chocolate. To my surprise, I couldnโ€™t finish them, because I felt like my body didnโ€™t want so much sugar anymore. This in the conditions in which I really like sweets. It is a very beautiful effect that occurs after any detoxification treatment. You can feel what your body wants and what it doesnโ€™t. You become more aware of your body, and you can decipher its signals more clearly.

Conclusion: it is worth doing liver detoxification

The program works well and brought me the results I expected. I havenโ€™t seen clear changes in sleep quality, but I do attribute this to the fact that I went to bed late (probably after 12 oโ€™clock at night) for many of the 11 days. Instead, the level of energy and mental clarity increased and remained so after the 6th day.

The most important part of a liver regeneration program, as with any detoxification program, is to prepare what to eat. Itโ€™s not very difficult, but you should temporarily choose to eat other foods than the ones you are used to eating. To do this, you need to change what you buy and what you cook.

For me, for example, if someone cooked me everything I needed for a diet or a detox program, it would be 10 times easier for me to keep it. If you have no one to do this for you (I donโ€™t have one either), be aware that you need to buy other foods and cook other dishes for the duration of the program, and be prepared for that.

The biggest changes are that you have to give up refined carbohydrates for a while, and replace them with carbohydrates from vegetables. You know, we usually eat bread, pasta, potatoes, rice, with almost anything, and salad is something quite rare in our menu. When you detoxify the liver, it must be the other way around. Lots of greens, zero refined carbohydrates.

Then you reduce the amount of protein a lot, which is why you need to be prepared to eat more often to give your body enough nutrients.

The best thing you can do when you want to do a detox program is to prepare in advance:

See what foods you will eat and check if you have the necessary ingredients in the house. If you donโ€™t have them all, make a shopping list and buy them before you start.

Make a list of dishes you can prepare from the foods allowed in the program you make.

Think about the day before you eat the next day, so you have time to prepare.

If you donโ€™t pay attention to these things, you risk waking up at some point because youโ€™re hungry and not having any suitable food on hand. It is harder to find suitable food for a detox diet at catering or restaurant, apart from salads, so it is better to be prepared and have at least soaked nuts/seeds, allowed fruits, ideally, and a portion of food prepared by you.
